Samsung
Electronics Philippines Corporation ( SEPCO ) launches Samsung KidstimeTM
in their Media Solution Center in South East Asia ( MSCSEA ).
Samsung
KidstimeTM engage parents and
children with more secure safe and
modern way of learning. This is a content subscription service for Samsung
tablets, it provides children aged 3-7 years old with access to a handpicked
set of edu-tainment apps and Ebooks and for parents additional feature
including personalized children usage reports.
This
app also feature the " App Lock " which provide parents to prevents
their child to leave the app environment without a passcode.Time-setting
function is another feature that allow parents to teach their children on how they can use the technology
properly.
This new learning environment will allow kids to play while
learning in a safe digital environment that their parents will have a piece
mind.
In line with this Samsung also announced the creation and launch
of Samsung KidsTimeTM Author's Award. In partnership with the
National Book Development Council of Singapore ( NBDCS ) at the Asian Festival
of Children's Content.
The National Book Development Board ( NBDB ) will lead in finding
ten potential award winners and having a chance to win USD 20,000 each and will
have thier winning submissions featured for a year in Samsung KidtimeTM.
It
is open to authors and publishers from Philippines and South East Asia the
submission is until October 2014. USD 2,000 per award will be issued to 10
winners for the Philippine Author's Award.
The
winning submissions will be promoted and distributed on Samsung KidsTimeTM will
be announced on November 2014.
The
application is now available to all users of Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
(7.0"),Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and Galaxy Tab 4 (7.0") but it will be
availble to other Samsung devices soon.
The launch
of Samsung KidstimeTM and Samsung KidstimeTM Author's Award is not only for children
and parents but also to motivate authors to create relevant content for
children.
