Cafe Naci: Fusion Cuisine at the Fox Square

Saturday, July 5, 2014

There were numerous restaurants in Greenhills, but if you are looking for a fusion resto, try Cafe Naci who has a wide variety of dishes to choose from. They offer Western, Italian, Asian, Spanish and Filipino dishes that will satisfy your cravings.

I was invited at Open Rice Eat's a Date food review which I came early because i just live nearby. Had a small talk with Nadine Nocom (Owner/VP for Marketing) stated that Cafe Naci got it's name from her Dad Naci Nocom, derived from 'Nasi' (Malay/Indonesian word for rice) since they are offering rice dishes as well. She also said that some of the food on the menu are her sibling's comfort food and their Master Chef added twist on it.

The interior design is very simple yet the paint color is warm. (Do you know that warm colors such as yellow, red and orange are very stimulating colors and tend to raise appetite?)

While waiting for the food, they served us iced tea. Although I love minty iced tea, their freshly brewed house blended iced tea is truly refreshing.

Kani Mango Salad - Their house specialty. Layers of assorted greens, Kani, ripe mangoes, cucumber with crispy wonton and vermicelli drizzled with wasabi mayo. Oh! i love the kick!

-Pasta-
Chicken and Pork Adobo Cannellloni (Cannellloni is a cylindrical type of pasta generally served baked with a filling and covered by a sauce). This dish is Nadine's comfort food.

Beef Caldereta Lasagna - Flavorful Caldereta in a Pasta!

-All Day Breakfast-

Smoked Salmon and Potato Pancakes topped with honey dill mustard sauce and paired with soft buns -  I am a fan of potatoes. Name it, french fries, hash browns, potato salad. I so so love this dish!

Bacon Liempo with Garlic Rice - I did not tried this but the Bacon looks crispy though.

-Main Entree-

Braised Beef Ossubuco -  Beef shanks braised in red wine and tomato sauce with side dish of Carrots and Chayote garnished with Parsley. The beef is so tender.

Chef Ed's Pork Shank. A signature dish from the master chef himself. French cut pork shanks braised in onion soup and generously topped with melted mozallera cheese served with buttered Carrots and Chayote.

Peruvian Chicken Rice - a dish of slow cooked baked rice with Peruvian spices, chunks of chicken, carrots and sauteed Capsicum topped with homemade Aioli (traditional sauce made of garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and egg yolks) served in a paellera. Try it with lemon for a twist.

Peruvian Chicken Rice

Their fried chicken has been brined and marinated in Naci's secret spice blend then coated with a thick batter of buttermilk resulting in a crisp crust fried to perfection and moist meat. Their serving is good for 4, served with Cajun fries, mushroom gravy or with tomato ketchup. Best fried chicken ever!

 Crispy Fried Chicken

Their best seller is Pistachio Sansrival - layers of buttercream, meringue and chopped Pistachios is a guaranteed pleasing experience.

Thumbs up for Cafe Naci's Mango Panna Cotta.

They also offer pastries such as Yema Cake, Molten Lava Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Blueberry Cheescake, Chocolate Ganache, Brazo de Mercedes and Dome Cake.

Also, Great news for Cohenites! The Cohen-friendly menu of Cafe Naci is back. You can enjoy your favorite guilt-free dishes and maintain the Cohen lifestyle.

I was really comforted with Cafe Naci's mouth watering and wide variety of dishes. So after shopping at Greenhills, Visit Cafe Naci and they will be serving you all day comfort food and more.
