KakaoTalk is now available on Mac with new features

Good news for Mac users who are using the App on the phones, a desktop version of KakaoTalk is now available for download. Aside from making the app available for Mac, it is also offering a new feature called is now offering “Search Chat”.

The Search Chat feature enables a user to quickly search any conversation by keyword and find all relevant messages sent/received within the chat room in reverse chronological order. No need to scroll back on long conversation threads to look for a certain part of their conversation.For now, the Search Chat feature is available for the desktop version. The new feature will also be available on KakaoTalk mobile apps later this year.

KakaoTalk’s desktop apps also enable users to share a variety of Mac and PC-compatible files, including images, video, audio, documents, and compressed files of 57 different file formats.  Users can send and receive files on KakaoTalk for Windows, and can receive files on KakaoTalk for Mac (sending capabilities coming soon).
